The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign is designed to increase and advance the national call for heart health awareness among women. Heart disease is the # 1 killer of American women. Cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease and stroke, kill nearly 500,000 women each year. The Go Red For Women Campaign combines style with substance, yet it's much more than a fashion statement. It's about educating, informing and empowering women to take charge of their health and to live stronger, healthy, hearty lives.
